Logistics Co-ordinator

Job Summary                                                                                                                    

Coordinating the supply of goods, imports, raw materials and logistical support including stock and inventory monitoring, requisitioning, receiving, costing and pricing of goods in accordance with policy guidelines.

Internal Relationships

  • Reports to the Divisional/Sales Manager or designate
  • Liaises with internal stakeholders as required

External Relationships

  • Liaise with local and international suppliers
  • Liaises with logistics service providers

Principal Duties

  • Inventory Management
    • Weekly Stock Management Report for all SKUs and raw materials
    • Develop and ensure compliance to Min-Max/ Optimum stock levels for all SKUs and raw materials
    • Collaborate with Inventory & WH Dep’ts to ensure compliance to management of damaged goods, expiries/rotation, infestation
    • Coordination of shrink-wrapping, banding, stickering exercises for assigned SKUs
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Manage the end-to-end supply chain process from pre-costings, purchasing/procurement, up to receipt of containers onsite and/or drop shipments to customers
    • Ensure efficient accurate data input into the ERP system inclusive of pricing, costings and other relevant commercial/financial data
    • Manage shipping and supplier claims, due to inbound issues
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Manage supplier relationships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
    • Maintenance of Customer-Supplier relationships to ensure efficient purchasing/procurement as needed: includes placing order, approving order, consolidation and order status etc.
    • Management of A&P accounts, claims and reconciliation for assigned brands
    • Monthly supplier stock and sales reporting

Qualifications & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Management or a related discipline
  • Certification (or pursuing certification) in Logistics, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience within an FMCG environment

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite
  • Strong experience of rigorously adhering to detailed procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with focus on team building and collaboration
  • Sound problem-solving and analytical skills
